expected better.

While I've read most of Sujatha's works, this one seemed a bit dull. Deals with a trio who plan to set off on a 3 day vacation, and the mis-haps on those 3 days. An average read.

This book has 2 stories... both are really interesting.

good novel... nice and thrilling... climax is a real twist...

good book it's say about the innocents of girls and how they are spoiled by men in their life at same time, those women can be recovered from such probelms, only by another man

It consist of two stories of same genre-thriller which increase the temp to the core.I am getting tired of reviewing Sujatha's novel as each of his books keep us entertained in a way no other writer in tamil will do.period.

The authors of such pocket crime novels follow some tactic that makes us tend to read the book so fast. I'm wondering about that. Felt the difference in my pace of reading while reading this book compared to his other Novels.

a enjoyable (18+) thrill ride. its a story about a innocent girl who fells for a wrong guy, and a milksop who stuck between his abusing friend and the girl he wants to save. Three guys guru,mano and raj are planned to spend 3 days in a big abandoned bungalow at mangalore. due to lack of money guru steals few jewelery from his own house. during boarding mano bring his lover saraswathi with him and reveals the plan that they are gonna get married.but secretly he tells his original plan to the guys that he just wanna sleep with her and this mangalore trip was perfect opportunity. perverted raj also joins with him for screwing saraswathi check out my full review @

Damn! Only Sujatha sir can do this without a hassle. Just give it a read and you cannot put it down until it is over... Maybe few would try to reason out and find faults, but still this book was way ahead of it's time when it came and it still will be... ALL HAIL SUJATHA SIR!

மூன்று நாள் சொர்க்கம் - சுஜாதா 1980 களில் வெளிவந்த நாவல். பெங்களூரை சேர்ந்த 3 இளைஞர்கள் மைசூருக்கு பயணமாகிறார்கள்.,கூட ஒரு பெண்ணுடன். அந்த மூவரில் ஒருவன், அவளை காதலி எனக் கூறி, திருமணம் செய்துகொள்வதாய் ஏமாற்றி அழைத்துச் செல்கின்றான். அப்படி ஏமாற்றி கூறி வரவழைத்தது, பின்புதான் மற்ற இருவருக்கும் தெரிய வருகிறது. அதில் வேறொரூவன் நல்லவனாக உள்ளதால் அவள் மீது கரிசனம் கொள்கிறான். அந்த மூவரும் அந்த பெண்ணை என்ன செய்தார்கள்? அங்கு அவர்கள் சந்தித்த பிரச்சனைகள் என்ன? அந்த பெண் அவர்களிடமிருந்து தப்பித்தாரா என்பதை குறுகுறுப்பும் விறுவிறுப்புமாய் சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அந்த காலத்தில் இந்நாவலை படிப்பதற்கு இளைஞர்களுக்கு ரசமானதாக இருந்திருக்கலாம். தற்போது வாசிப்பதற்கு சாதாரணமாக உள்ளது என்றாலும், நாவலின் நடுவில் சொல்லப்பட்ட ரகரகமான விதவிதமான பெயர்கள் கொண்ட போதைப்பொருள் கடத்தல் தொடர்பு சம்பவங்கள்., கிட்டத்தட்ட தற்காலத்தில் நடக்கும் பல சம்பவங்களோடு ஒத்துப்போகிறது. இப்படி வருங்கால சம்பவங்களை யூகித்து அதை கதையின் ஊடாக சொல்லியதால்தான் திரு சுஜாதா அவர்களை இன்றும் போற்றுகிறோம்.

'மூன்று நாள் சொர்க்கம்' இந்த குரு நாவல் ஒரு முழு நீள தமிழ்ப் படத்தைப் பார்த்த ஓர் உணர்வைத் தந்தது. பாலிடெக்னிக் கல்லூரியில் படிக்கும் நண்பர்களாகிய குரு, ராஜ் மற்றும் மனோ அவர்களின் சாகசம் நிறைந்த மூன்று நாள் மங்களூர் பயணமே இந்த மூன்று நாள் சொர்க்கம். ராஜுவின் மங்களுர் மாமா வீட்டார்கள் வெளியூர் சென்றிருக்கும் காரணத்தினால் மனோ மூன்று நாள் மங்களூரைச் சுற்றிப் பார்த்தும், ராஜுவின் மாமா பங்களாவில் குதூகலமாக தின்று, உறங்கலாம் என்று ராஜுவிற்கும் குருவிற்கும் யோசனை கூறுகிறான். மேலும் ராஜவையும் குருவையும் ஆயிரம் ரூபாய் கை செலவிற்கு எடுத்து வரும்படியாகவும் கூறுகிறான். ராஜு இந்த யோசனைக்கு உடனடியாக ஒப்புக் கொண்டாலும் குரு தன் குடும்ப சூழ்நிலையை எண்ணித் தயங்குகிறான் அவன் தயங்குவதைக் கண்ட மனோ திருடியாவது ஆயிரம் ரூபாயைச் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டு வந்து விடுமாறு குருவிடம் திமிராகப் பேசுகிறான். மூன்று நண்பர்களின் இந்த உரையாடல் எனக்கு வி. சேகரின் 'விரலுக்கேற்ற வீக்கம்' திரைப்படத்தை ஞாபகப்படுத்தியது. அந்தப் படத்தின் பாணியில் இந்தக்கதை நகைச்சுவையாக நகரும் என்று நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேன் சுஜாதா சரஸ்வதி எனும் கதாபாத்திரத்தை இக்கதையில் மனோவின் காதலியாக பெங்களூர் பேருந்து நிலையத்தில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தும் வரை. சரஸ்வதியை பொறுத்தவரையில் அவள் மனோவின் காதலி மேலும் இந்தப் பயணமே மனோ தன்னை திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதற்காகத்தான் என்று அவள் கற்பனை கனவில் தன் பெற்றோரை விட்டுவிட்டு வீட்டில் இருக்கும் நகைகளை அள்ளிக் கொண்டு இந்தப் பயணத்திற்குப் புறப்படுகிறாள். ஆனால் மனோவிற்கு சரஸ்வதி இந்த மூன்று நாட்களுக்குத் தேவைப்படும் ஒரு போதைப் பொருள் மட்டுமே. மனோவின் நோக்கம் ராஜுவிற்கு தெரிந்த போது முதலில் எரிச்சல் அடைந்தாலும் பின்பு சரஸ்வதியை மனோவுடன் சேர்ந்து பங்கு கொள்ளலாம் என்று எண்ணி அவன் அமைதியாக இருந்து விடுகிறான். ஆனால் குருவிற்கு மனம் கேட்கவில்லை எப்படியாவது சரஸ்வதியை இந்த ஆபத்திலிருந்து மீட்க வேண்டும் என்று எண்ணித் தவிக்கிறான். நான்கு பேரும் மங்களூர் வந்துவிடுகிறார்கள். அதன் பிறகு சரஸ்வதியின் நிலைமை என்ன? குரு அவன் நினைத்தவரே சரஸ்வதியை காப்பாற்றுகிறானா? இல்லை, வேறு ஏதேனும் சிக்கல்களில் சிக்கிக் கொள்கிறானா என்பதை நோக்கியே நகர்கிறது மீதிக் கதை. Thriller elements சில இருந்தாலும் எனக்கு இந்த குறுநாவல் பெரிய திருப்தியை அளிக்கவில்லை; கதைப் போக்கை ஓரளவுக்கு யூகிக்க முடிந்த காரணத்தினால். ஒருவர் ஒரு பொழுதுபோக்கிற்காக இந்த நாவலை வாசிக்கலாம், மற்றபடி வியக்கும் அளவிற்கு எந்தவொரு பெரிய அம்சமும் இல்லை.

every time i feel a sujatha novel , i feel very happy and a smile will mysteriously appear on my face. a youthful story..

This has become one of my favourite works of Sujatha. Plot and storyline is pretty simple but told in a very engaging manner. Unable to stop reading, I finished the book in a single stretch. Must read if you are a Sujatha fan. Happy Reading :)

An entertaining read! Felt like watching an extended short film, with the typical dialogues and construction of scenes. The only bad was the portrayal of love, but should be mindful that this was written in 1990. A good interesting short read!

கதையின் பெயரே இது எந்த வகையறாவில் வரும் என்று குழப்புகிறது. முழு கதையும் கூறி புத்தகம் படிக்க இருப்பவர்களின் சுவாரசியத்தை கெடுக்க விரும்பவில்லை. மூன்று நண்பர்கள் மூன்று நாட்களுக்கு இன்ப சுற்றுலா கிளம்புகிறார்கள். ஒருவன் தனது காதலியை உடன் அழைத்து வருகிறான். செல்லும் இடத்தில் சில பல ட்விஸ்ட்கள். ரொம்ப க்ளிஷேத்தனமான சற்றே எதிர்பார்க்கக்கூடிய விஷயங்கள் தான். பெரிதாக சொல்லிககொள்ளும் அளவுக்கு இல்லை. டெண்டுல்கர் எல்லா பாலும் சிக்ஸர் அடிப்பதில்லை. வாத்தியாருக்கும் இது பொருந்தும். :-)

I'm not sure how many writers have achieved the level of success that Sujatha has, when it comes to reading the mind of a teenager. Loved this as much as Nila Nizhal. A catchy plot, backed up by capable situational writing with the usual Sujatha touches in phrasing and dialogues.Made my saturday.
