சுறுசுறுப்பான கதையோட்டம். சலிப்பு தட்டாமல் பரபரப்பாகவே கதை எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது. அனைத்து கதாபாத்திரமும் கதைகளில் ஒன்றி பயணித்தது. தேவையற்ற சம்பவங்கள் எதுவும் திணிக்கப்படவில்லை. மூடநம்பிக்கை ஒருவரை எப்படியெல்லாம் ஆட்டி வைக்கும் என்பதை திரில்லர் மற்றும் சஸ்பென்ஸ் கலந்து எழுதியுள்ளார் சுஜாதா.

Intriguing and well set plot. The author doesn't drag the story into unwanted scenes and hence the story is crisp and clear. How the irrelevant components such as astrology, pop, innocence, betrayal, lust is all connected in this short book is amazing. I think one of very few Sujata's thriller stories that has every nook and corner of the plot explained without leaving the reader into his imagination :P

My first Sujatha book and looks like I picked an easy pacy read. Ganesh and Vasanth - the characters created by Sujatha are the Indian version of Perry Mason - with sound deduction and witty exchanges. The case starts with a man who wants the duo to find his wife who had eloped an year ago and get a divorce. Soon enough, the investigation yield fruit and leads to a murder. The book touches upon perversions in the name of spiritualism, concepts of mind and more than a fair share of detective work for a set of lawyers. The narrative was thrilling and the characterisation of Ganesh and Vasanth make the investigation have it's lighter moments. Sujatha writes with authority and the deductive reasoning is sound (if not show-offy). The killer was predictable though the how part was the mystery. Loved the short read. Definitely a series for the long haul!
