1001 CE. Chōḷa king Rājarāja is on his way to Aḷa nādu, the hillside western region of Pāṇḍya country to meet old malayāḷi natives settled at Pūranagiri hill. These diligent natives had earlier provided some vital clues on the assassination attempt at Thanjāvūr.
