Karmegam (Dark clouds) is book I in the Udhayabanu historical fiction series. This series is a sequel to author's well known earlier works - Rajakesari and Cherar Kottai.

Early 11th Century CE. Tamiḷ Nādu. Chōḷa capital Thanjāvūr has just witnessed a chilling assassination attempt on emperor Rājarāja Chōḷa’s life.
